“Colours of Vietnamese Ethnic culture” in Parliamentary Solidarity Gala of the132nd Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU 132) 

(LVH) - Last night, on March 29th, 2015, “Colours of Vietnamese Ethnic culture” program in Parliamentary Solidarity Gala of the 132nd Assembly of the Inter parliamentary Union (IPU 132) was held at 19/4 floating stage, Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.This is an outstanding activity within the framework of activities to welcome the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU 132) held at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan (first, top, right hand), Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong and his wife (The 2nd & 3rd from right hand), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (The 4th from right hand) attended Parliamentary Solidarity Gala.

 

The delegates participating Parliamentary Solidarity Gala were: the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong and Vietnam delegates were Ms. Tong Thi Phong, Member of Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Head of the Organizing Board of the 132nd Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Member of Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Member of Executive Committee, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. In addition, there were also delegates representing 130 groups from member parliaments, associated members, observers and international guests, the leaders of the Party and the State and more than 500 ethnic communities representing 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.

Anh Tuan gave the opening speaking at Parliamentary Solidarity Gala.

 

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Management Board of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan said: “Today, in a world which thirsts for peace and orients towards the core values ​​of humanity, the culture and solidarity is not only the intrinsic strength, an important factor contributing to the sustainable development goals, but also the vital necessity of every nation as well as each ethnic group more than ever. It is also one of the objectives, activities that the World Inter-Parliamentary Union is trying to do.” Mr. Ho Anh Tuan emphasized: At Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, Vietnamese ethnic communities warmly introduced their identity as specific and practical actions demonstrating Vietnam’s efforts in sustainable development thanks to culture and from culture far, which is consistent with the speaking of President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Saber Hossain Chowdhury at the opening ceremony of the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU 132) “to put people at the center.”

 

Art Program at Parliamentary Solidarity Gala

 

Next was the art program titled “Colours of Vietnamese Ethnic culture” with folk songs, folk-dancing performed by the craftsmen, ethnic groups and artists from all parts of Vietnam. A beautiful country of Vietnam with a long-standing culture, Vietnamese people who love labor, are always optimistic and love peace, was vividly portrayed on the stage.

Parliamentary Solidarity Gala was ended with Xoe folk Dance of Thai boys and girls, attracting participants in the solidarity circle. There were no boundaries, differences in skin color, language in friendly xoe folk dance of warm friendship.
