 President Truong Tan Sang visited and sent New Year’s greetings to Vietnamese ethnic community in the “Common House”

(LVH) - On February 15, 2014, President Truong Tan Sang and the State and Party leaders visited and sent New Year’s greetings to Vietnamese ethnic community, attended Prayer for peace , Prayer for good weather of Lo Lo ethnic group (Ha Giang) and planted memorial trees at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).

President Truong Tan Sang’s New Year’s Greeting Ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Ba Trinh, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Nong Quoc Tuan the member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities; H’Ngam Nie Kdam, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands, Ms. Hoang Thi Hanh, Deputy Head of the Northwest Steering Committee; Comrade Ma Dien Tu, Danh Ut, Trieu Thi Nai, National Assembly Council for Ethnic Affairs; Comrade Le Nhu Tien, Deputy chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children's Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs; Mr. Ho Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Head of Festival Steering Committee; Ms. Katherine Muller Marin, Representative of UNESCO in Viet Nam, the leaders and representatives of Departments and Ministries, Branches, Central organizations, the provinces/ cities, the religious leaders, overseas Vietnamese, the notables, intellectuals, artists, artisans, village elders, village leaders, representative of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups and the Vietnam News Agencies.

 

President Truong Tan Sang sent New Year’s greetings to the representative of Vietnamese ethnic community at the Common House, Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism 

 

Speaking at the New Year’s Greeting Ceremony, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said ““Spring festival day all over the country” is held to create opportunities of cultural exchange between Vietnamese ethnic groups, to help people enjoy the festivals and mix themselves with pan-pipe music, dances, etc that are symbols of desire, wishes for a new year with good harvests, beautiful life to Vietnamese ethnic groups, friends and country.
In the warm and friendly atmosphere of the early days of the New Year, on behalf of the Party and State, President Truong Tan Sang sent the best greetings to the representative of Vietnamese ethnic groups”.

President Truong Tan Sang said: ““Spring festival day all over the country” is held annually to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural traditions, strengthen Great Solidarity of the entire nation”.

Also at the Ceremony, President Truong Tan Sang listened to the representative of Vietnamese ethnic groups’ sharing about the thoughts and aspirations of each ethnic group. President Truong Tan Sang emphasized “Our country has gone through thousands of years of building and defending the country, the culture has become a spiritual foundation, motivation, extremely powerful inner strength so that our nation, our country can overcome difficulties, challenges and existence and constant development”.

At present, in the cause of innovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration, national construction and defense, cultural traditions have still been preserved and strongly promoted, creating strength of Great National Solidarity, contributing to construction and firm protection of independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Vietnam.

President Truong Tan Sang expressed his desires for Vietnamese ethnic groups’ tradition promotion, solidarity, economic development, poverty alleviation, people’s knowledge improvement; good tradition and cultural identity preservation and promotion, contributing to national development.

At New Year’s Greeting Ceremony, the representatives of the ethnic groups, after sharing their feelings, thoughts and aspirations, expressed gratitude to the Party and State’s interest and desired the Party to continue to create more favorable conditions for people to participate in cultural activities, contributing to emotional exchanges between ethnic groups in the family of Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Then, President Truong Tan Sang presented gifts to the Vietnamese ethnic groups, the Management Board of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism and the representatives of the ethnic groups gave the President simple and meaningful souvenirs closely attached to daily life of people such as bracelets, brocade tablecloth, embroidered towel, pan-pipe, brocade bags, etc

After visiting and sending New Year’s greetings to the representatives of ethnic groups at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, President Truong Tan Sang attended the prayer for peace and good weather of Lo Lo ethnic group, Ha Giang province and planted memorial trees at Hill 19/4, Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
