Closing the activities at the northern highland fair

(LVH)- In the morning of May 01, 2013, at Public Affairs, PMU of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism closed the activities at the northern highland fairwhich took place from April 27 to May 01, 2013. The highland fairin the second stage is the continuation of the activities for the cultural festival of Vietnamese peoples on 19/04 and the actual activities for Liberation of the Southern Vietnam on 30/04 and International Worker’s Day on 01/05.

Attending the closing ceremony is Mr. Nguyen Dinh Loi, Lam Van Khang – The Deputy Head of PMU of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism; Ms. Toan Thi Huong – Head of Organization Department, members of OD and all communities who joined the activities at the northern highland market.

 

 The overall picture of the closing ceremony

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thang, Deputy Head of OD read the report on the difficulties of the organization of the activities in highland market in the second stage and confirmed the efforts and activeness of OD and participants. According to the report: nearly 70 officials and artisans are the community of Tay (Bac Kan province); Tay and Nung (Lang Son province), Thai; Mong (Son La province) who actively joined to create the actual space of the northern highland fairin Ha Noi; 100 types of produces of the northern mountainous regions were also sold; the introduction of Tay Bac and Dong Bac food culture and folk songs of Mong, Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic group attracted many tourists to join. There were about ten thousand of tourists to visit market and tour places in Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (in which there were about 300 turns of international tourists)
In addition, the report has shown some issues that are needed to deal with and draw the experiences for the next activities. Owing to the analysis of the results, the report has confirmed: The northern highland fairin the second stage within 05 days, from April 27 to May 01, 2013 has been successful.

In the closing ceremony, comrade Nguyen Dinh Loi, Deputy Head of PMU of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism received the contributions of the members of OD and participants, the active supports of the leader of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Director of Cultural Centre to help the activities of the northern highland fairsuccess. The comrade also emphasized that PMU of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will promote the active fields and deal with the shortcomings so that the organization of the village fair activities will get more successful.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, comrade Nguyen Chu Toan, the Director of Cultural Center in Bac Kan stated his expectations: The leader of PMU of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism continues to maintain the cultural activities of the ethnic groups, especially the ethnic groups have not yet been participated this ceremony so that they have chances to introduce their unique cultural characteristics.

According to the PMU of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, the highland markets will be one of the regular activities and rotation of Village for Culture, meeting the needs of international tourists as well as the cultural exchanges and integration of the ethnic communities. Through the activities, the unique traditional cultural values of the communities will be practically preserved and promoted.
