Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan meets youth representatives from the ethnic minorities

(LVH) - On 04/19/2013, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan had a meeting with 80 young delegates of ethnic minorities as the typical representatives of 45 ethnic groups over in the country, on the occasion of delegates attending the celebrations of Vietnam National Culture Day in 19/4 and Family Year in 2013 in Vietnam national Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union reported to State Vice President of the youth situation of ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Accordingly, in our country at present there are about 3.6 million young people in total 11 million people of ethnic minorities. In the recent years, the youth of ethnic minorities has always maintained and promoted revolutionary tradition, a tradition of unity, national pride, love of labor, consciousness of mutual support and help during labor , study, produce and trade in and contribute to building a life more well off and happy.

In youth work, in the recent years, the levels of the Union, Association are determined to unite, gather ethnic young people as the key task of the Union, Association. Accordingly, the Union Central as well as Vietnam Youth Union organized a lot of movements and activities to support the young people of ethnic groups in all aspects such as: build youth villages set up business at boundary communes, the humane house building program, the individual classrooms, humane clinic rooms; put young intellectuals work in the remote area, put young intellectuals work as as commune’s Vice Chairman, establish Vu A Dinh scholarship Fund, etc.
Especially, for family issues, the Union, Association Hoi also has effectively deployed models Sustainable development family, Young Family without violence, young family club, etc that contributes to raising knowledge , the sense of responsibility for the youth on the family and preventing family violence, building well off, progressive, happy family, etc.
Then, typical young people of ethnic groups expressed wishes and aspirations with Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan. Besides the record achievements reported to the Vice President as well as expressed joy when coming to the Capital attending Vietnam Ethnic Group Culture Day 19/4, youth representatives of ethnic groups also petitioned the Party and the State there needs to have more policies for ethnic minorities, especially for young people, especially the emerging issues such as vocational training for ethnic minority young people, support and seek employment, loans up to set up business, etc.

Talking to the ethnic young delegates, the state Vice President of Nguyen Thi Doan expressed delighted, touched when meeting the young delegates. She praised 80 youth union members typically represented for Vietnamese ethnic groups, in despite of living in different areas, their life is more difficult, but the youth's forces succeeds the tradition ancestors who made efforts, tried in all activities and has have those important contributions for their community and society.

The Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan said: In the recent years, the Party and the State have always paid attention to the ethnic minorities’ life, especially young people, so that people's life are improved , culture is conserved, preserved and positively promoted, political security is maintained.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Doan encouraged young people to actively participate in promoting better local activities, units and organizations, especially in the construction of fundamental authority, how to organize the youth collection, propagandize and canvass for people to believe in the Party, unite to build the country, etc. She also suggested, the young people must also participate in international integration, cultural integration, education and training, so that Vietnam nation is proud of walk abreast with nations over in the world.
